Emma Markwick

Founder

Emma is a researcher and practitioner in leadership, group facilitation, culture change & coaching.

My background is in occupational and sports psychology, executive coaching & societal change. After completing a Masters Degree in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, my work took me in two distinct directions: working on projects to enable disadvantaged young mothers return to work in East London, whilst also working with the eminent sports psychologist and writer John Syer at the Business and Sports Psychology consultancy – SportingBodyMind.  These experiences have converged and cemented a lifelong interest in both person-centred human transformation and the power of grassroots movements to effect societal change.

I gained further qualifications in Coaching Psychology, Gestalt-based Group Facilitation, Systems Thinking & nutritional & sleep therapy. This blend of expertise leads me to take a unique mind-body approach in the work I do with individuals and a systemic approach to my work with organisations.

I was a Director at the Bridge Partnership for 15 years, working with many global FTSE 100 clients before setting up Emma Markwick Consulting in 2017.

I am a sister to 3 sisters and a mother to 3 daughters and am passionate about supporting women and young girls throughout the world find their way in life.
