Leadership Coaching

Coaching - Individual

My approach to 1-1 work is informed by my psychology background in person-centred counselling & Focusing Therapy.

These human change tools are combined with a deep understanding of corporate environments and the challenges leaders face navigating in a complex world.

Coaching with me relies on an individual’s willingness to uncover what may be deeply buried default settings within their internal world. This uncovering is enabled through the right blend of self-awareness and constructive challenge.

It helps integrity-filled leaders gain the courage, confidence and healthy habits to step up and lead on a bigger scale.

Coaching with Emma will help you find:

  • Truth: Get to the deep and honest truth about who you are and what you want to stand for

  • Confidence: Build confidence and discover how to get out of your own way

  • Courage: Start doing what you love to do, be bold and begin

  • Resilience: Thrive through change and transitions, rather than losing heart

  • Creativity: Use creative thinking to work within complex systems and navigate conflicting political dynamics

Coaching from Emma feels like a gift. She is extremely observant and able to coach in a challenging, yet safe way. She unlocks things I never thought could be, nor knew existed.

Coaching - Pairs

Many years ago, I pioneered an approach used in sport & business of working with pairs of people that can transform a relationship and ultimately the wider dynamic of the group in which this relationship sits.

I am now re-developing this strand of work, helping any senior critical pairing (whether it’s CEO and COO, or CEO and CFO) support the healthy functioning of their organization.

Often a dysfunctional relationship that has muddled along becomes unsustainable when external circumstances such as strategic and market changes begin to test it in new ways. By using a Gestalt approach to work on the relationship of key pairs, issues are quickly illuminated, feedback becomes a vehicle for growth rather than critique and the relationship is dynamically transformed to become more productive and life-enhancing.

Emma helps pairs:

  • Work through challenge: Learn about what it takes to work through even the most challenging dynamics

  • Make decisions together: Come to decisions when there seems to be no possible way of agreeing

  • Whole life-learning: Learn a set of skills that have significant implications of transforming relationships in any part of life

‘‘Emma is truly inspirational. She helped my team work through our team dynamics whilst at the same time managing to reach every individual with her unique style”.

Coaching Supervision

Supervision is a key reflective practice for all coaches. Now more than ever, in our uncertain world, we coaches need a safe place to pause, reflect, learn and refresh ourselves.

My own experience of coaching showed me the power of regular supervision, both to make develop my coaching practice and to learn more deeply about myself. “Who you are is how you coach” remains a core belief of mine and and I take a fully integrative and therapeutic approach to my work with my supervisees.

Coaches bring to me coaching themes, critical incidents & personal reflections and leave supervision sessions both clearer about their coaching practices and personally resourced and refreshed.

Coaches play a pivotal role in helping leaders navigate our changing world - but we coaches need to ensure we give space to take care of ourselves and rise to these challenges too.

Having supervision with Emma means you will:

  • Improve self-awareness: to recognise your own internal patterns and habits, working with them to enrich your skills as a transformative coach

  • Learn about human change: to discover how to skilfully and safely use deeper psychology-based tools to enhance your coaching practice

  • Build confidence: to work at more senior levels in organisations or in complex multi-partnership systems

Emma has the ability to change individuals, teams and businesses. She transforms lives using her exceptional gifts of curiosity, listening, challenge and support. Whilst none of these skills are unique, Emma uses them masterfully and authentically to uncover the truth of a situation and bring about long lasting change. I have learnt so much from Emma and feel exceedingly fortunate to work with her.
