My recent third sector work began with projects run through The Bridge Institute and is now branching out with further work in post conflict zones in Africa & supporting trafficked women in India & UK.

Campaigning to eradicate sexual assault and trafficking, India

I have been involved from inception in the ground-breaking 10-year project, the Kalinga Fellowship. Starting in 2017, we help create forums for community, business and government leaders to work together with the aim of eradicating sexual assault and human trafficking. In the last year, 140 new grassroot projects have been set up, taking this work to some of the most remote and impoverished parts of India.

You can watch a short video about the Kalinga Fellowship here.

Reducing malnutrition and stunting in Africa

I am supporting a joint venture between DSM (a Dutch nutritional company), the World Food Programme and the UN to combat childhood malnutrition and stunting in Rwanda, Ethiopia and Kenya.  The work started with enabling the multi-agency JV board define the ways of operating that would enable them together to meet this huge challenge.

Supporting emerging leaders from Hong Kong’s refugee community

Resolve’s aim is to create a more inclusive Hong Kong where every voice has a say in its future and every person has the power to create positive change for their community. I worked with Resolve to create a partnership with a global bank to support fellowships for emerging leaders from marginalised communities, empowering them to be change-makers and social catalysts.

Facilitating a women’s peace movement for Hindi and Muslim women in India

Based in Delhi at The Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, we worked with Women Peacekeepers, helping them create forums for peace and encouraging communication and collaboration between advocates of different factions in Kashmir. The latest is the Women’s Jammu / Kashmir Peace Project.

Emma is an extraordinary facilitator. On the Kalinga Fellowship she held our group, asked difficult questions and inspired innovative ideas. I am grateful for her ongoing coaching – she helped me learn essential truths about myself, connect more deeply to my values & make better choices. Emma brings out the best version of me.
